Untitled[edit]

I noticed that most universities had this feature, so i thought that also U of U should have its own. Adrian Comollo (talk) 19:04, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure how other universities' pages are structured, but as long as we're gonna have this page, it seems like a useless redundancy to continue to have alumni and faculty listed in both places. Why don't you wipe the list from the U's main article and put in a "see other article" link there, to this page? Djiann (talk) 16:51, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Concerning "sources"[edit]

I checked several similar articles, for example Hunter College or Caltech: they do not have any sources stated other than the major website of the university. Anyway, almost all people listed have links to their personal bio, and info can be double checked there. Adrian Comollo (talk) 11:26, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The image Image:David-o-mckay.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Splitting this article into two[edit]

I am proposing that we split this page into List of University of Utah faculty and List of University of Utah alumni. Both BYU and USU have similar page splits (List of Utah State University faculty/List of Brigham Young University faculty and List of Utah State University alumni/List of Brigham Young University alumni) and it seems appropriate given how large this single article has grown. Does anyone have any objections? Blueclaw (talk) 19:51, 13 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
