Episode pages[edit]

I think we should have pages for all the episodes, or none of them. Since the articles already created are pretty good, so lets make pages for the rest of them.Caringtype1 (talk) 20:13, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've started to create a article for an episode, please make pages for the rest of the eps.Caringtype1 (talk) 01:52, 9 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Rivals[edit]

where's the page???Caringtype1 (talk) 16:21, 21 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Season pages[edit]

I think this show should have season pages for each season. 68.44.51.49 (talk) 21:10, 31 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with that.Caringtype1 (talk) 16:57, 13 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Why don't you help me start them? 68.44.51.49 (talk) 20:50, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I started Up All Night (season 1), but a reception section and more needs to be added.Caringtype1 (talk) 19:06, 25 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but unfortunately, despite NO OBJECTIONS during the discussion here, an editor felt like there wasn't enough information, or something and the article that i spent hours editing has been deleted! It was my intention to add to the article, add reviews and comments on not just the pilot, but later in the season, that the main article lacks. I will not be able to do this since said editor just decided just to quote some nonsense on the edit summary, instead of making a suggestion on the talk page!!!. I apologize for the rudeness of said editor and after more seasons have aired revisit the discussion of making new articles.Caringtype1 (talk) 02:05, 26 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • That editor cited size splitting, meaning he/she felt there wasn't enough information on the Episode Page to warrant a first season page. I've had another argument about a Person of Interest season one page. That argument entails differentiating a seasonal page from other series articles. — WylieCoyote (talk) 02:19, 28 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
That editor quite rightly referred to size splitting. WP:SIZERULE recommends that consideration be given to splitting articles once an article reaches 50kB of readable prose. Even using a very loose interpretation of the definition of readable prose, the amount of readable prose in this version of the article is a less than 6.6kB, which is a long, long way below WP:SIZERULE's upper limit of the "Length alone does not justify division" category. Splitting is typically reserved for shows with several seasons, making the "List of" article overly long, and that just isn't the case here. Based on article growth to date and current size I don't see a need for several years, unless substantial season specific content can be added to the season articles. Without that extra content, splitting forces the reader to look in multiple articles for the most basic episode content that is currently all available in a single article. It makes far more sense to include everything on one page if the only substantial content is the episode tables. Splitting the article results in two, and soon three, articles covering what one currently does and they all need to watched. Managing multiple articles is almost always more unwieldy than managing one. The other issue is the splitting process itself. It's not enough to simply create another article. Both this and the season articles require proper attribution as per Wikipedia:Splitting#Procedure, and this has not been carried out. There simply isn't justification enough for splitting the article at this time. --AussieLegend (talk) 00:55, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It's rude to ruin other people's work! I know what WP:SIZERULE is, but there were talks here earlier about the page. The DVD has artwork for the cover already, so it needs to be back! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.44.51.49 (talk) 02:23, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
There is a note below the edit window that says "If you do not want your writing to be edited, used, and redistributed at will, then do not submit it here." You have to accept that sometimes your work is going to be reverted. Use of DVD cover art is not justification for splitting the article and the discussions provided no justification as to why the page should be split. --AussieLegend (talk) 08:45, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The time for all of this, was before I spent hours on the article.Caringtype1 (talk) 18:10, 1 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I feel bad for you, Caringtype1. I will do my best to recreate the article. 68.44.51.49 (talk) 00:03, 4 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I recreated the article. Please do not redirect it again! If you do, I will send you a message on your talk page about it. 68.44.51.49 (talk) 11:26, 4 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No need to split. Should season 2 actually happen, we can talk about it then. Cheers. The Rambling Man (talk) 11:44, 4 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Season 2 starts on September 20, so we should split it soon. 68.44.51.49 (talk) 14:21, 4 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
We can split it when it gets to a size that is suitable for splitting. Not before. The Rambling Man (talk) 14:51, 4 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. We split when articles become too bulky. That's why we have WP:SIZERULE. 6.6kB of readable prose is nowhere near "bulky". --AussieLegend (talk) 15:07, 4 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The only thing we "agreed" on, is that we will revisit the topic later. There was never a clear consensus on merging or not.Caringtype1 (talk) 02:46, 22 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I assume from this and the arguments on your talk page[1] that you've misread my agreeing with The Rambling Man as justification for removing part of my post replying to him.[2] Is that correct? --AussieLegend (talk) 04:47, 22 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I just assumed that your were saying that it was a consensus that everyone agreed that we shouldn't spilt, but you didn't, you were just expanding on the point made by The Rambling Man. i apologize for the misunderstanding.Caringtype1 (talk) 05:37, 22 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, now the season pages have to be created. We have to add the change for having Up All Night recorded in front of a live studio audience. 68.44.51.49 (talk) 20:23, 3 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
