I am curious where you are getting the first column from, it looks very Chinese, but is natrually not the Pinyin transcription. Many of these such as Kongpo and Medrogongkar have pretty well established transliterations in English already. -NH (134.2.147.103 14:57, 18 November 2005)

I would recommend just changing all the zh into dr and the c into ts for that column. Appart from the normal display problems with Tibetan it looks fine. -NH (134.2.147.103 15:00, 18 November 2005)

It's "Using Pinyin to fit Tibetan pronunciation", which is the official system for transliterating Tibetan place names in China right now. The spellings themselves were gotten from National Geographic maps, Encarta maps and English-language maps published in China. -- ran (talk) 01:25, 20 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Need to track changes in administrative divisions[edit]

This article needs a section tracking changes in the T.A.R.'s administrative divisions.

Here's a link about one such change [1] - the creation of Shuanghu County in 2013. Perhaps there have been other changes? There isn't even any mention of this history in the article about this county. LADave (talk) 21:46, 16 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
