City/State

could the editors add the city/state location of these institutions to this list when there is not yet an article to link to the company name Hmains (talk) 18:30, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Long Name

this article has a very long name, can't we make it shorter?--Lerdthenerd (talk) 12:24, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

Sources

this aritcle need to sources the bills themselves, not one news article will simple but in the bill number or vote number. its as if they dont want us to have access to the origional source

  • without a link to the origionall bill its impossible to find the vote and see who voted for it —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.165.91.120 (talk) 22:14, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

Iceland banks

Have these been "acquired" or are they "failures". Landsbanki seems to be in receivership rather than acquired?86.11.172.114 (talk) 21:58, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

More than Banks

The financial crisis is affecting more than just banks. Couldn't we have a retailer/other business section that also face the same fate as the banks.

  • I was thinking the same thing, but where are the sources for such information? Hmains (talk) 20:41, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
  • I found some sources from newspaper sites and other sources. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.161.222.121 (talk) 23:25, 20 October 2008 (UTC)

New Page or Title Change

NCUA closings

The latest credit union closing notice by NCUA says that 14 have been closed in 2008. I have only been able to find 13, not 14, from the less than helpful NCUA web site. Anyone know what the 14th closed credit union is? Hmains (talk) 19:55, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

Size of banks being closed

If anyone's interested in adding a column for the size of the bank being closed, this page lists MagnetBank's deposits as totalling $282.8 million. Jun-Dai (talk) 16:43, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

long

This list is getting rather long. I propose breaking out the banks closed by FDIC and NCUA to a separate list. Comments? If none, I will do so in a week or two. Hmains (talk) 23:02, 1 May 2009 (UTC)

I agree. Maybe split up and use titles like Institutions closed by the FDIC during financial crisis and Instituions closed by the NCUA during financial crisis. Sweet Pea 1981 (talk) 15:00, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
Lacking any other comments, I have just created List of acquired or bankrupt United States banks in the late 2000s financial crisis. Hmains (talk) 00:54, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
