List of ships of the line of the Royal Swedish Navy[edit]

It is not really accurate to describe early 17th ships like Vasa as ships of the line, considering that the line of battle tactic didn't even come about until the late 17th century. A lot of them are probably better described as galleons.

Merge[edit]

I suggest that List of battleships of the Royal Swedish Navy and List of ships of the line of the Royal Swedish Navy be merged together into an article named List of capital ships of the Royal Swedish Navy.

This solves the problem indicated at Talk:List of battleships of the Royal Swedish Navy about these not being proper battleships, and the problem indicated at Talk:List of ships of the line of the Royal Swedish Navy about ships predating ships-of-the-line.

Mars having 173 guns, really?? then that is the biggest Gallon in the world, Santísima Trinidad only had 136. Think that there is some swedish pride hidden in this, according to the List of worlds largest wooden ships, and according to several books about Mars and the Nordic wars, Mars "only" had 107 bronze cannons, still impressive, but at least more realistic.Sneaking Viper (talk) 22:03, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
