Muar is the royal town on Johor, not the royal capital[edit]

For those who edit this article, please take note that Muar is NOT the royal capital of Johor, as the official residential palace of the Sultan of Johor is located at Bukit Serene, Johor Bahru, not at Muar. True, there is a palace at Muar, but that palace is not the official palace but rather a royal retreat (Istana Hinggap).

The status of Muar as the royal town was due to the royal opening of the township by Maharaja Abu Bakar and was named as Bandar Maharani (Empress Town), but no official residential palace was constructed there. - Hezery99 (talk) 07:32, 17 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
