Airworthiness certification and other regulations[edit]

Do the non-european CAAs adopt certificates from FAA and/or EASA or do they test aircrafts, personnel and so on on their own? --84.173.227.240 10:43, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

CIS authority[edit]

Is the Interstate Aviation Committee Aviation Register (IAC-AR) something similar to EASA for the CIS? 131.246.35.13 (talk) 10:29, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

List vs. Dab?[edit]

During the FAC discussions for the 777 (Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Boeing 777), it was brought up that this is currently a dab page, and by its nature really should be a List page. List of civil aviation authorities currently redirects here. Any thoughts? AKRadeckiSpeaketh 23:53, 6 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It is now a list - Canglesea (talk) 16:17, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

State Agencies?[edit]

How would state agencies such as the Oregon Department of Aviation relate in association to this? Thanks --Trashbag (talk) 23:36, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

URL for Iraq is down[edit]

The URL for Iraq's CAA leads to a non-government ad page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.94.82.148 (talk) 17:39, 8 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Kuwait link bad[edit]

The Kuwait link goes to the Wikipedia page for India's CAA. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.83.186.248 (talk) 21:55, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

What articles to link here, and their titles[edit]

I think it would be best to use Authority_name (Country) (these are placeholders, of course) as the primary article names in all cases where the official name is only Authority_name (because it is unique in the respective country). An example is Directorate General of Civil Aviation (Indonesia). This is not required by Wikipedia:Article titles, but recommended, and also quite useful in this context, as to avoid confusion about the true name of the organisation. Oh, and sometimes, links to the supervising ministry are used instead in the current list, even though there is a more specific/dedicated authority. I guess that we could link both. --Mopskatze (talk) 16:14, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Merger discussion[edit]

It is proposed that List of civil aviation authorities be merged into National aviation authority for the purposes of avoiding redundancies and simplifying access to information by integrating them into a single article. Unique information will be kept, and will be placed in an appropriate section. YX1 (talk) 00:26, 30 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@YX1: Per WP:MERGE, I'm moving this discussion to Talk:National aviation authority Sario528 (talk) 11:55, 30 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
