Content is completely inaccurate[edit]

67.131.55.89 reverted to a version the has inaccurate data exampled by Ghanaian ancestry appearing twice on list at both #15 and #60. Sources can no-longer be referenced as factfinder.census.gov was archived.

The current page should not be considered factually correct. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.249.184.97 (talk) 05:01, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Probably a mistake: Latvians are shown twice inside the table Levtchenkov (talk) 18:01, 18 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Populations sizes are completely inaccurate[edit]

This page needs a major revision or it needs to be taken down.

The content is inaccurate. Ethiopians for example are listed as having a population of over 5 million. The US census numbers them at 58,000. Ethiopian Americans https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethiopian_Americans

What's with all the references[edit]

I was looking at the related Wikipedia article List of ethnic groups in the United States by household income, and on the talk page commented about the incredible number of unnecessary references on the lists. I also noted that tables would be more useful than a raw list.

The good news is that this article has tables, but it's got the same god-awful duplicative citations as the other article.

And then I noticed that the tables aren't set up correctly, either. The first table includes a Total row, but that row is included as a sortable row. Which means that if you sort by race, Total comes before White. And the second table, if sorted by income, ends up with Somalis on the wrong part of the list. They have the smallest income, but if you sort from small to large, they're at the bottom and if you sort from large to small, they're at the top.

I really don't know enough about creating and editing tables to fix this problem, but would like someone to.

(And getting rid of all of the extraneous citations would be nice, too.)

Sri Lankans[edit]

I have reverted the addition of a figure for Sri Lankans to the table, because it does not appear in the source. Cordless Larry (talk) 10:12, 23 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You are edit warring for dubious reasons across wikipedia. Saying that the term isn't even in the source means either you're lazy and shouldn't be an administrator, or you are not tying to build a wikipedia constructively. Sweatisoftheessence (talk) 00:32, 24 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
No, the only thing it means is that I checked the source thoroughly and couldn't find the figure (or any figure for Sri Lankans) in it. Cordless Larry (talk) 08:29, 24 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Someone Removed Figures for All Successful Non-White Ethnic Groups! Wot?[edit]

As I recall, the 2015-16 Census Data that is being used includes both household and per capita income figures for pretty much every group polled. But, the "Per Capita Income" section specifically does not have income data for Indian, Taiwanese, Filipino, Singaporean, Iranian, Japanese, and Malaysian Americans. These seem to be all of the non-white groups that outpaced the white average on the HH Income page. Is this omission the result of some kind of trolling? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.131.55.89 (talk) 17:44, 20 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

African American vs American Descendants of Slavery[edit]

American Descendants of Slavery is not recognized racial category or Hispanic identifier as per the US census. Black or African American is. Using ADOS is factually incorrect and unnecessarily politicizes this page.
