Akira Kurosawa[edit]

Why is Akira Kurosawa listed on this page? Him editing his own movies is not a "collaboration". Nohomersryan (talk) 01:00, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I've deleted the Kurosawa listing. The original reason for including "non-collaborators" was to prevent people from looking fruitlessly to find the editors for some very distinguished directors. Since Kurosawa is noted in the introduction, there's no need for the listing itself.

Inclusion critera[edit]

Editor Kpwarden is adding a number of collaborations to this article that are inconsistent with the inclusion criteria that are described near the beginning of the article. These criteria have been in place since this list was created more than ten years ago. Ten days ago I asked on the user's talk page to discuss the inconsistent additions, but haven't gotten a reply. I reverted some of these additions, but they are being restored and new ones added.

Let me defend the present criteria. The director/editor collaborations included in the article should be notable. The criterion for notability in this article has been a nomination for either an Academy Award or a BAFTA award. Please comment if you support the present notability criteria or want to propose revisions. Easchiff (talk) 05:48, 19 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
