I reverted the recent addition of {{Cape Town|history}} because it caused the page to exceed Wikipedia's Post-expand include size template limit.

The best solution I can think of is to split the list into 3 articles, one each for the CBD, Waterfront, and Bo-Kapp. This will leave plenty of "PIES-limit" headroom to include {{Cape Town|history}} at the bottom of each article. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 16:35, 8 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Courtesy ping to Pbsouthwood, it was your edit that I reverted. Again, it was a good edit editorially but it caused technical issues. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 16:36, 8 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
davidwr. Fair comment, and I agree with your proposed solution. That is one ungainly table. Cheers, · · · Peter Southwood (talk): 16:53, 8 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I have split out List of heritage sites in the Bo-Kaap of Cape Town. It was somewhat tedious, and there are probably some errors. I will check what I can, but some sites are not easily identifiable for locality. I may do the Waterfront when I get around to it, but no guarantee when that might happen. Anyone else who feels that way inclined is welcome to the job. There are also sites listed from Fresnaye, which is not in the CBD or the Waterfront, or Bo-Kaap. Size has been reduced by a third. Since the technical issue has been solved, it's now an editorial decision whether further splitting is needed and what to do about Fresnave sites. Do they get split just to keep the title accurate, or does the page get moved so it's clear Fresnave sites belong in this list? Again, that's an editorial decision. There is no deadline for decisions like this. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 15:56, 9 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
