File:J-10a zhas.png Nominated for speedy Deletion[edit]

An image used in this article, File:J-10a zhas.png, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

To take part in any discussion, or to review a more detailed deletion rationale please visit the relevant image page (File:J-10a zhas.png)

Requested move 18 June 2018[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: No consensus. You'll probably notice that 'List of historic X' is a frequently used form of titles on Wikipedia (more than 300,000 titles have that form), so more evidence would probably be needed. EdJohnston (talk) 20:50, 25 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

List of historic aircraft of the People's Liberation Army Air ForceList of historical aircraft of the People's Liberation Army Air Force – As you all can see, the new name replaces the word historic with historical. According to online OED dictionary, historic means “Famous or important in history, or potentially so” while historical means “Of or concerning history or past events”. In this case where we are talking about past aircrafts of PLAAF, historical is clearly more precise and appropriate. 221.13.92.178 (talk) 13:49, 18 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
