Production[edit]

Does anyone know how many of the current over the air broadcasters produce their own games (with different on screen graphics etc.) and how many use the normal cable broadcasters feeds? I figure this may be worth noting in the article. That I know of, KCAL 9 (Dodgers) does, but Phillies (normally CSN) and Yankees (normally YES Network) just use the normal graphics with the local MyNetwork affiliates logo in place of the CSN/YES logo. Other than WGN (Cubs and White Sox) and KCAL (Dodgers), there isn't anyone else I can think of as far as over-the-air broadcasters using their own production. WPCH/Peachtree TV (Braves) produced their own telecasts up until this past season, and now they're using Fox Sports Net (South/SportSouth) to produce their telecast for the preceding seasons, including 2011. KSDK in St. Louis was the only other station using their own production, in regards to Cardinals games, but the Redbirds are now exclusively on Fox Sports Midwest as of 2011. KSDK's sister station and fellow NBC affiliate WKYC in Cleveland handles production for Indians games, both over-the-air and cable. Any other over-the-air broadcasters televising MLB games (and there are very few nowadays) are using the production from their respective cable partners. ShawnHill 07:33, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
