Is this just a list of current independent record labels from the UK, or could the defunct Nuphonic be included?

Notability[edit]

Fence Records current doesn't have an article, so therefore notability hasn't been established. Once the article has been created (and it asserts notability), then it can be added. Lugnuts (talk) 07:20, 13 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately people are still adding their own labels in to the mix regardless of notability. If the label is notable enough for inclusion in the list, it should be notable enough for its own article. If it doesn't have its own article, then create one first! Otherwise I and others will continue to delete those additions where notability is not established. Nebuliser (talk) 13:51, 31 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Many lists use "enwiki article exists" (no red link) to simplify the maintenance. Generally I like this, it's good enough for software. For record labels I'm less sure, RWG Records exists, also as d:Q60492205, in essence on my say-so (sourced on Wikidata), not (yet) good enough here. OTOH soon (redirect suggested) Coptic Cat might exist, and could be arguably notable here, the "Coptic Cat" label is mentioned on 15 enwiki articles, but nobody bothered to add it on Wikidata so far. –84.46.52.44 (talk) 15:07, 31 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
