What does the date following the person's name signify? The reason I ask is because Murtala Muhammed has more than one commemorative stamp, but the date after his name is 1977 which appears to be the date of issue of a single stamp. I cited to the design and designers of Nigerian stamps in general, but none of the examples included the actual stamp of the General dated 1977, although the airport stamp that was named in his honor was mentioned. The citation was reverted, so I've moved on. The following sources do mention a commemorative stamp of the General, and considering WP:V is of primary importance when considering notability and inclusion of a topic that may or may not have extensive coverage, we do/can/will add sources that verify notability of presumed notable topics. The person/place/thing that is being commemorated on a stamp is assumed notable without the need for extensive coverage about the stamp itself, in much the same way we don't have to cite sources that verify the earth isn't flat or the sky is blue, or that government's don't issue indiscriminate collections of commemorative stamps. The following sources verify that commemorative stamps were issued for the General; therefore, verifiability is satisfied, so feel free to add them if you wish:
Sage Journals - A Selective Bibliography of Nigerian Government Publications — 1973–1977 – I couldn't access the paper, but the Google search shows Late Head of State General Murtala Ramat Muhammed: Commemoration stamps, 13 February 1977 to be included in that source.

Nothing you says here seems to have any relation to the reason for deletion, which is that the list topic as a group isn't notable. No one is claiming that the individuals on these stamps aren't notable, or that the stamps are not real (although there were plenty similar lists with serious factual errors, no idea if this is the case here as well). So the fact that there was a stamp (actually 3 stamps) for Murtala Muhammad in 1977 is not disputed: adding an actual source for it is of course acceptable (though adding one which doesn't verify this is not, of course), but does nothing to establish notability of the list as a whole. The Guardian article also doesn't verify the 1977 stamp, but mentions briefly a much later one. But again, you are conflating multiple issues and adding incorrect surces in the mix, which doesn't help at all. Fram (talk) 12:27, 20 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
