This is crazy![edit]

What makes you think Alvin and the Chipmunks was on Nick Jr., cut it out! And please take it off of the Nick Jr. programs page! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.66.51.32 (talk) 16:18, 29 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Is it true?[edit]

Are all classic Nick Jr. programming gonna air on September 3, 2012? I just want a truthful answer. Because I saw someone else put that on there. Thank you. rtucker913 (talk) 16:38, 16 August 2012 (UTC) not to be a downer, but I really don't think this is possible.First of all this would be way to many shows for one channel to air, plus it also states on the article that several Sesame Workshop tv shows when sesame workshop has broken there partnership with nick years ago. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lovelyvilet2 (talkcontribs) 23:20, 31 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Missing large amounts of info[edit]

This page used to contain much more info in the former programming section. Shows like 3-2-1 contact, 123 Sesame, Bill Nye the Science Guy, 64 Zoo Lane, as well as repeats of older Nick shows (which, if I recall correctly aired in early 2000s, on late night hours) such as Doug and Rugrats are missing. This article used to note them. Why are these changes being made? Is this vandalism?--173.53.83.234 (talk) 20:22, 22 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Backyardigans and Go, Diego, Go![edit]

On September 10, 2013, Nick Jr. modified their schedule to omit Backyardigans and Go, Diego, Go. Please move them into the "formerly aired" section, as they are not on the air anymore. Also, Toot and Puddle haven't been on since summer 2012. Ouch. 67.85.241.84 (talk) 12:44, 7 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

As of April 15, 2014 add Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! to those omitted shows. Please move all 4 to "formerly aired". 67.85.241.84 (talk) 17:52, 18 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced date ranges[edit]

In this edit, Superkeegan9100 added unsourced date ranges to the article. In this edit, Electricburst1996, an editor whose work I appreciate, restored the content, without a reference. Per WP:BURDEN, Superkeegan9100 should have added the references, but if the content was removed (and it was, by me) for being unsourced), the burden would then be on Electricburst1996 to find the refs and submit them. Restoring the content without refs is unacceptable. There are only four references for the entire list. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:41, 29 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Nick originals[edit]

Shouldn't Nick originals (for older audiences) that aired on Nick Jr. be listed here too? I added the dates for Winx Club’s airings a while back. Anthonyg3281 said that it's officially a Nicktoon instead of a preschool show, so it shouldn't be listed, but I was wondering what others thought. There were episodes of Winx Club that aired first-run on the Nick Jr. channel. Nick Jr. also briefly aired Rise of the TMNT reruns if I recall correctly. Entirely WP:NOTRS. You need a proper reliable source for this information, saying, "the show isn't confirmed to be going on and it did had a wrap party so its safe to say its done" is entirely original research. Magitroopa (talk) 15:14, 9 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

List of Nick Jr. original programmingList of programs broadcast by Nick Jr. – Most of the programming on Nick Jr. is not original to the channel (mainly reruns of Nickelodeon shows and some acquired from other places). This name would also be consistent with all of the other Nickelodeon program lists (List of programs broadcast by Nickelodeon, List of programs broadcast by TeenNick, List of programs broadcast by Nicktoons, etc.), whereas right now, this page is the only Nickelodeon one named this way (and there doesn't seem to be any reason). List of Nick Jr. original programmingList of programs broadcast by Nick Jr. – Second request. Most of the programming on Nick Jr. is not "original" to the channel, since a lot of shows began on the main Nickelodeon channel before moving to this one, and the rest is acquired from other countries where the shows debuted first. Squittens (talk) 04:03, 18 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Squittens: You were already told of the reasoning back in May (see above discussion)... Magitroopa (talk) 04:16, 18 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I read the HBO/History articles’ discussions and those were for pages that “only list original programming.” This page doesn’t fit that because a lot of shows were moved from the main Nick channel and aren’t exactly “original.” So there’s still no good reason for it to have a misleading title that doesn’t match the other Nick pages. Squittens (talk) 20:01, 18 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support as per nom.Fade258 (talk) 05:29, 18 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose and to be honest, this seems borderline disruptive. The same editor started a discussion less than 2 months with the same rational. This is abusing the system in hopes of getting your way and should not be accepted. See previous nomination for my rational. Gonnym (talk) 15:26, 18 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
    • It’s not the same rationale, I changed it to explain that a lot of the shows began on the main Nick channel before moving and becoming Nick Jr. Channel “original” shows. Which is still not really “original” programming, so matching the other pages would make most sense. Two months ago I didn’t make it clear that it wasn’t just a rerun channel, a lot of the episodes are first-runs. Squittens (talk) 20:01, 18 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Honestly, I think I would mostly agree with deleting this article ("The issue you raised is an indication that maybe this article is not needed..." from the previous discussion in May). Likely looking at WP:NOTTVGUIDE in regards to this... Most of the 'programming' on Nick Jr. is actually just reruns of episodes originally aired during Nick Jr. times on the main channel. As such, I don't really think shows like Blue's Clues & You!, Santiago of the Seas, Blaze and the Monster Machines, and Ryan's Mystery Playdate (and I'm sure plenty of other shows I'm not listing here) really belong on this article, as all new episodes have aired on the main channel, with only reruns aired on the Nick Jr. channel. Then there are shows like Shimmer and Shine and Corn & Peg that originally aired new episodes aired on the main channel, and at some point, premieres moved to the Nick Jr. channel- shows like that would be fine here, since they are the first airings of the episode on any channel. We also don't need notes like those that are currently on the article for Team Umizoomi, Fresh Beat Band of Spies, and Shimmer and Shine- we don't need to note reruns, again, where WP:NOTTVGUIDE comes in. If the series is over and no longer airs new episodes, it is certainly not 'Current', which is moreso dedicated to current shows that actually are airing new episodes. Magitroopa (talk) 23:13, 18 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support and cleanup - Many shows originally aired new episodes here but the show's themselves aren't original to the channel. So yeah, the present title is confusing. Just looking at the Former animated series section, almost all of them aired new episodes on this channel instead of the main channel, so I think this article is still useful for those shows. The Backyardigans, Dora and Friends, Go Diego Go, Nella the Princess Knight, Ni Hao Kai-Lan, Sunny Day, Wallykazam, Winx Club, and Wonder Pets all aired new episodes as originals here and that's just the older animated shows. Donimb (talk) 13:43, 20 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom and per Donimb. The proposed title more accurately reflects the ownership status of the media involved. BD2412 T 03:18, 20 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
