Talk:List of reported UFO sightings/Archive 1

Nobody commented on my suggestions on this page so I took the liberty to do some remodeling.

I wiped out the first paragraph and replaced it with a simple summary of the lists contents. References to conspiracies and folklore are best handled under Unidentified flying object.

I composed a pattern for the list items: year, incident name, brief description. Description should note at least the type of the incident: UFO flap, mass sighting of UFO, sighting of aliens, or abduction, etc.

I also removed two external links. The links are below.

As an important note, the 1997 Mexico event described in Unidentified flying object under Notable sightings and events seems to be missing from this page.

Because the objects which caused the transits of intramercurial planets which were reported in the 18th and 19th century have not been identified, events of this kind are also a type of UFO (=unidentified flying object)
