List of tennis tournaments in chronological order[edit]

Would it be worthwhile to have another list article listing all tournaments in chronological order as they occur through the season? - xpclient Talk 06:46, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No. Go to the ATP or WTA website for that. Tennis expert (talk) 15:27, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
2008 ATP Tour and2008 WTA Tour have the full schedule and results. Yohan euan o4 (talk) 17:51, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Request for wider input on discussion at WikiProject Tennis[edit]

There is a long, ongoing discussion at WP:Tennis about the tournament tables found in tennis articles on English-language Wikipedia (e.g., this type of table). The discussion is about whether the "official sponsored name" of a tournament - such as Internazionali BNL d'Italia (as used in this article) - or another tournament name - such as Rome Masters - must be used in those articles. Please join the discussion here. Thanks. Tennis expert (talk) 08:33, 4 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism by Alonsornunez[edit]

This user was warned on his discussion page not to delete interlanguage links in tennis articles, including this one. This user is presumed to have read the warning when he deleted it from his discussion page. Tennis expert (talk) 21:21, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I had no idea about this policy. Sorry. Please discuss things with me before assuming Bad faith, yeah? I always do the same. Alonsornunez (talk) 21:25, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

2012[edit]

Shouldn't this article be updated to 2012? Grushenka (talk) 20:04, 19 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe the template {{update after}} will be useful to this WikiProject. I don't know enough about the WP to judge. --P64 (talk) 16:44, 6 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Prize money[edit]

Do we really want to include the prize money here? It is something that changes frequently, which means that this list will need to be updated more frequently (or will become out of date quite easily). Want to know the prize money of a tournament can always click on the wikilink to the page about the tournament. MakeSense64 (talk) 10:05, 2 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Major (disambiguation)[edit]

Last month I re-targeted Majors from Grand slam (tennis) to the disambiguation page, which covers both singular and plural (M/major/s).

And I reported (Talk: Major (disambiguation)#Major golf and tennis tournaments) on the current redirection of several "major" terms, mainly those with golf or tennis expressions or targets. (Tennis is a latecomer that did not get many redirects.)

Major (disambiguation) needs attention. The latest revision is a big improvement in some respects and a big de- in others. See recent sections of that Talk page (Talk: Major (disambiguation)#Latest revisions -05-26 an -06-02). --P64 (talk) 16:44, 6 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Tournament Establishment Dates?[edit]

Just out of personal interest really, I wondered if it would be a good idea to include a new section in the lists, stating what year each tournament officially began? I have added tournament establishment dates for the four Majors, as I think it's important information to know when each Major tournament was founded, and I think that with the other tournaments it could give people the chance to see which are the oldest and newest tournaments currently on the ATP & WTA Tours.
