Number of public universities[edit]

In the table in the section 'Full Universities and Colleges', there are only 2 public universities - NTU and NUS. At the bottom of the table however, it is stated that 'There will be a fourth public university'. The third public university has gone unstated in the article.

It is talking about whether the local university of SG is "Autonomous" (i.e. normal and facing to the secondary students) or "Comprehensive" (i.e. spacial and only facing to the working people). The "4th university" you may see on the local media should be identified as the 4th AUTONOMOUS university, while there are just 3 uni (NUS, NTU, SMU) that currently in the category "Autonomous Universities" of the Ministry of Education, Singapore. In a word, it is not related to the properties of university on either "Public" or "Private".
