Table formatting[edit]

The formatting and columns of the table edits in September and October 2016 has made it very difficult to read, with a combination of edits to the wikitable syntax and trying to add additional content which doesn't line up with previous columns. Please discuss the changes here and possibly make edits in a WP:SANDBOX before changing the table in the article. Other editors may be able to assist with making the changes while maintaining the table structure. — MrDolomite • Talk 13:40, 13 October 2016 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 187.20.85.7 (talk) [reply]

An article that you have been involved in editing—List of vetos exercised by the US government in the UN Security Council—has been proposed for merging with another article. If you are interested, please participate in the merger discussion. Thank you.

I do not think that the two articles should be merged. They do not address the same issues. This article is not limited to the explicit uses of the veto, but acknowledges rather the use of US international influence to stop resolutions from passing. This should be made more clear in the article. The article has also been justly criticized for being editorialized. If these issues are addressed then there is no reason the article could not exist independently. However, I do not think that a merge is the solution. AfD is not a vote. I've seen the AfD only now, but its output needs to be implemented better: just removing information is not a merge. Nemo 08:02, 22 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
