Wotton House (an unknown location) is a mansion house near Dorking in Surrey. Its close to a number of other CWE commisions.

List format[edit]

A bit of work is needed on this list. Wikipedia UK policy is that lists should use ceremonial county for England; unitary authority for Wales, council area for Scotland and former county for Northern Ireland. For an idea of what a list can look like see List of monasteries dissolved by Henry VIII of England: a lot of work still to do there, but the idea comes through. What does this mean?[edit]

Article says "The New Arrival: Place - Limbo; Time - 19 ?", gouache by Hans Feibusch, 14 January 1972 (made since CW-E was knighted at the New Year). Sir Christopher Wren, Sir (sic) Nicholas Hawksmoor & Sir John Vanbrugh are quizzing the latest arrival, Sir Clough Williams-Ellis. Wren; "He says he reveres our works & shares our principles, & so claims that he too should be counted an architect, in spite of aberrations. How say you both?". Hawksmoor (dubiously) ..."Well"..., Vanbrugh (dubiously) ..."Um"... [PA435/3]" What does this mean? Does it belong here? 95.151.235.254 (talk) 16:47, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You're right - although it's among the papers at the RIBA, it's a sketch for a painting by Hans Feibusch. Ghughesarch (talk) 22:27, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Am I being unobservant, or is this house not on the list? -- Will-is-here (talk) 13:45, 2 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No, it's not - feel free to add it, with the BBC citation. I have my doubts as to whether it really is by C W-E, but if the BBC (presumably quoting the estate agents' details from ten years ago) say it is, then it counts as a "reliable source". Ghughesarch (talk) 15:26, 2 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
