Assessment Report[edit]

  1. Article needs to be greatly expanded using Wikipedia:WikiProject UK geography/How to write about settlements as a guide.
  2. Infobox to be added.  DDStretch  (talk) 20:29, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  3. Photos need to be added.
  4. References and Citations are crucial for wikipedia, and so these must be added as the article is expanded. (See WP:References, WP:V, and WP:CITE for guidance.)

The First Sentence[edit]

I note that the first sentence has been changed because it is stated to be "clunky". However, the changes made remove important information, and the opening sentence is a standard one used in many articles about settlements. Any comments about this?  DDStretch  (talk) 13:36, 4 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The same editor, who had been warned, has removed the same information again after waiting 2 weeks. This is despite being advised to discuss the removal here in a message on his/her talk page. Consequently, I have fully-protected this page for 2 weeks and advised the user to discuss why the changes have been removed here. The changes removed important information, and, rather than merely removing them, this user should attempt to make the additions read more smoothoy if he or she thinks it reads in a "clunky" manner at the moment.  DDStretch  (talk) 13:30, 27 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
