Simon Amstell[edit]

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I remember a weekly spot where some little nerd would review computer games across different platforms. Now ever since I saw Simon Amstell on T4 (Channel 4 Sundays) for the first time, I've sworn blind that he is infact the very same little nerd who reviewed computer games on Live & Kicking. After much internet scouring I can find no information on who was the L&K games nerd.

Can anybody confirm this?

The spot you are referring to was called Electric circus but it was presented by Adam Aye (not sure of spelling), not Simon Amstell. They do look pretty similar though, from what I remember. I think John Barrowman took over presenting this spot in later series. Bobfos 00:29, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Clean-up[edit]

Have tried to clean up the text (mainly near the beginning of the article) to make it a bit clearer, improve grammar etc. and also remove a few things that looked a bit POV, mainly in the section about Fully Booked. Still think it needs some work, perhaps splitting bits of the text into sections, such as the Going Live! article, to try and make it as clear as possible. Stejsmith 14:27, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've now made many edits to this page - not too sure of the presenters section yet though. --Alex9891 (userpage) 22:40, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Phone number[edit]

I'm not sure if this was L&K or whatever was on CITV on a saturday morning... but the phone number "oh nine oh double one ten fifty ten" (09011 10 50 10) was quite well known, dunno if it could be added as trivia. If you go to a teenager "oh nine oh double one ten fifty..." in the right tune - chances are they'll answer "ten"

That was CITV's number, Live and Kicking's was 081 811 8181 (why that's stuck in my mind I don't know). BillyH 12:27, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That phone number may well have been for Live & Kicking, jingles were their thing with phone numbers, I recall they had a different premium rate number for the phone in competition that changed every series. One was called the Big Bang and involved working out the celebrity photo from a photo booth print out. near the end of the show before the video review some crazy stuff with Mr blobby in a cage began.

It was the section of the show where the presenter called you back live! It definitely had a different phone number to 01818118181 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.151.44.162 (talk) 20:36, 6 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Lklogo.jpg[edit]

Image:Lklogo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:47, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
