Page name[edit]

So I'm curious as to why the show's name on Wikipedia is not just Live (talk show). I know the on-air name is always "Live with co-host and co-host", but for simplicity sake it seems easier to just use Live. Because of the nature of the show, the article name has been changed four times in the last 10 years and I'm sure there are plenty of redirects because of it. Should Kelly or Ryan leave it will have to be changed yet again. Seems simpler to just have the page name "Live (talk show)" and then have the current name at the start of the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:446:400:7f10:9c61:1684:aee9:dcd2 (talkcontribs) 06:33, 26 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Upcoming Rename[edit]

So with Ryan leaving the show this page is going to get renamed soon. Wouldn't it make more sense to leave the article title as simply "Live (American talk show)" instead of change it every time a co-host change occurs? Lord knows how many redirects are on Wikipedia from the renaming every few years 2601:447:C480:E50:3CAF:C108:2870:50AD (talk) 06:33, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 18 February 2023[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: no consensus. There is consensus that a RM can be revisited later, after the host changes settle in and we have more WP:RS to see what the new WP:COMMONNAME is. (non-admin closure) Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 16:40, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Live with Kelly and RyanLive (American talk show) – With Ryan Seacrest's departure and the new title of the show being announced as "Live With Kelly and Mark", we are looking at another renaming of the article if we follow the current tradition. Wouldn't it be better to rename this article to Live (American talk show) similar to The Daily Show and not have the name of the current hosts in the title of the article? • Oppose for now at least. I've heard it/read it far more often with the fully title, so Live with Kelly and Ryan or Live with Regis and Kathie Lee than just Live, by itself. I haven't done exhaustive research but it seems to be approximately 80% referring it to as Live with Kelly and Ryan and 20% Live. I can't easily think of a natural disambiguator that works and redirects are WP:CHEAP. Comparing it to The Daily Show isn't perfect since people/sources much more often refer to it as The Daily Show omitting the with subtitle. Skynxnex (talk) 04:48, 19 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Agree with this. Also, it would almost have to be at "Live with..." rather than "Live", as it has always been "Live with [someone]". This isn't the same situation as "The Daily Show" or "The Late Show", etc. --IJBall (contribstalk) 21:11, 19 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Add section[edit]

Can a section named "Live with Kelly and Mark (2023-present) be added? Cwater1 (talk) 03:53, 25 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

As of September 28, 2023, it appears that such a section has already been added. Not sure how long ago it was added, but it's there (currently the second-to-last paragraph. Also, don't forget that the entire article itself is title "Live with Kelly and Mark" already. L'être et le néant (talk) 02:57, 29 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Removed a "[by whom?—discuss]" tag[edit]

Prior to September 28, 2023, the first sentence of the paragraph called "2001–2011: Live! with Regis and Kelly" included a "[by whom?—discuss?]" tag because no sources had been cited to support the claim made in that sentence. I have removed that tag, because I did some research and was able to locate two credible sources to back up the sentence's claim. The sources are cited and now appear on the list of references. Mark cheating on stump mark.[edit]

I think it's disgusting that Mark is so hell bent on winning that he researches the statements in advance. I feel if he is going to cheat then he should stop doing this segment. It's very upsetting that he acts like he is so smart but he has to cheat to look smart. 108.20.52.26 (talk) 15:11, 16 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
