Back in 1970 to 1972 Livermore High School was known in Livermore as where the "cowboys" went to school while the "hippies" went to Granada High School.

During this time period some Livermore High males would cruise the town seeking "longhairs" from Granada High. Riding in their pick-up trucks with several males in the truck bed, Granada High "hippies" were subject to on-the-spot haircuts from the Livermore High "cowboys" who would use large shears and physical force to give the haircut. football coach abuse?[edit]

I live across the street from livermore high. I have the greatest respect for most (98%+) of the students, in both academics and sports. However. A few weeks ago I saw/heard the football "coach" shouting at the team, using language that has been unacceptable, for many years, in every branch of our military's basic training. My thought was, "holy smokes! What an utterly worthless role model! I wonder if these kid's parents have any idea what their children are being exposed to." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.77.141.166 (talk) 01:58, 13 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

re, football coach[edit]

Since I wrote about the football coach I wrote the principal, and received back a gracious reply. He said he will speak to his athletic department. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.77.141.166 (talk) 18:59, 14 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
