Merge discussion livestock show and agricultural show[edit]

  • oppose merge. Unless a livestock show comprises all the elements of an Ag show, such as an amusement park, sideshows, trade fair etc. This article suggests that a livestock show could be that large or could be a small exhibition of breeding stock. Not everything needs to be merged; I'd suggest this is cleaned up to conform to a higher encyclopedic standard. Quill 20:15, 5 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • comment The two articles currently contain quite different material. Perhaps we should sit back and consider the entire space, and discuss how many articles should exist, and which material belongs in each one (Field day is currently a redirect for example, although it now points to something else with disambig back to this theme). The proper content for that article has not yet been written. --Scott Davis Talk 09:32, 14 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • oppose merge. Common American usage is livestock show while the agricultural show is European. Further, agricultural show implies corn and vegetables while a livestock show is exclusively animals. -- Americasroof
