RTHL color[edit]

The color used in the "other1_designation" in this NRHP infobox is close to (if not exactly) that which is used for National Historic Landmarks. I don't know if this was done by intention or accident, but I think it should be changed to reduce visual confusion.--Dudemanfellabra (talk) 23:34, 14 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Take this comment to the infobox template page. I had nothing to do with the color. For instance, if you look at the history of Adolphus Hotel, you'll find that infobox and its colors existed as far back as December 2009.

The code
 | designated_other1_color= #aaccff
is what controls the color. The color for NHLs is #87CEEB  , which is very similar IMO. Not so much when they are side by side (  ), but for instance when I clicked onto the page, I immediately thought the site was an NHL but then read and found out it wasn't. This is in sharp contrast to articles like New York City Hall (which actually also happens to be an NHL) in which the NYC landmark banner is red – completely different and distinguished from all other banners. I'm not saying the banner must be changed, but I think it would avoid confusion if it were. Of course this would apply to all RTHL articles too.--Dudemanfellabra (talk) 02:59, 15 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
