Verde company and Major overhaul of the group

This page is well of out date and have very little update info, why is there NOT ONE single mention of "Verde" the new banking group? I can also tell you that Halifax is getting ready for a sell off aswell just in-case as-well. IN Scotland its just Bank of scotland there is NO talk anywhere about Halifax or llodys in the branches...

The takeover of HBOS is just that - a take-over. Therefore all the material about the history and activities of Lloyds needs to appear in a single merged article. Dormskirk (talk) 20:06, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

Let's keep this discussion all in one place at: Talk:Lloyds TSB#Merge of article with Lloyds Banking Group Charvest (talk) 21:47, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

No, this article should remain stand-alone as a historical reference to what was once a world-leading bank. It is important for those reviewing the history of HBOS and its forerunners that its historical account is not diluted and added to the new Lloyds Banking Group entry. Sure, new info can go onto the Lloyds section, but these seperate articles should remain seperate as 'HBOS' is not 'Lloyds', although its brands now are...Daibhidh sco (talk) 10:41, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

Agree, see my comments in the Lloyds TSB page 86.11.172.114 (talk) 20:15, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
Absolutely - and there's far too much useful info here to merge into the Lloyds Banking Group article - it would create one helluva massive article!! 86.153.90.219 (talk) 15:29, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

I have removed the merge tags from the two articles. Going forward Lloyds TSB should refer to Lloyds TSB Bank plc (The high street retail bank with the same name.) Marcgr (talk) 20:14, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

I am not sure why you removed the tags. If you look at Talk:Lloyds TSB#Merge of article with Lloyds Banking Group three out of four views (including 86.11.172.114 who expressed a view above) are in favour of moving the Lloyds TSB article to Lloyds Banking Group. Date founded

There is a problem of date of creation for lloyds bank; on the page lloyds tsb, it's writtent 1765, in this page it's written 1677.
