Meaning of name?[edit]

Could somebody please add a note on the meaning/origin of the name for the poor sasannach? Thanks. -- 201.50.248.179 09:36, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Does 10 years count as recent?[edit]

Sure boat trips (from Glenfinnan) started about 10 years ago. Does that count as recent? Have also heard from a local (no references) that this was a "replacement" for a much older boat that sank in it's boat house on the River Callop(top East of Loch) a good few years ago due to ice pressure one winter. Same source also said the loch level had been raised a few feet (by a kind of submerged weir) near Shiel Bridge, to ease navigation within the loch. steve10345 (talk) 17:45, 8 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Two Loch Shiels in Scotland[edit]

There seems to be two Loch shiels in Scotland. The big one, and the very small one up at Shiel Bridge. scope_creep (talk) 23:56, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
