Link to Battletech fan fiction site[edit]

What possible reason does it have to be there? It's not notable, looks conspicuously like promotional linkage. I'm moving it to an External link for now so it's not willy nilly in the body text, but unless there's a real encyclopedic justification ofr it it should be removed. The site doesn't have to be notable to be included in elinks. I have not visited it, but if he is a 'driving force' behind it, than it seems like wortwhiwle to mention it in his bio.-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk  05:45, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm fairly certain he's more than just the driving force, but it's almost impossible to find any information concerning InMediaRes (the company that owns and runs Battlecorps.com), so I don't want to say he is the president of the company or something and find out it's incorrect. And the site is not *fan* fiction, it's mostly written by the same authors who write for BattleTech, including Coleman. Scaletail 17:53, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's either fan or canon fiction...?-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk  19:11, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's canon fiction. Scaletail 14:04, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Note, IMR is owned by Heather Coleman (Loren's wife) and a group of investors. Loren is the theoretical director of the company, but day-to-day business operations are handled by one David Stansel-Garner with oversight from Heather Coleman. While I've suspected that something along those lines is the case, there is no way to verify that information. The link is nice, but it does not mention Heather at all, though InMediaRes does note her role. I guess what I'm trying to say is, the link does not verify the info in any way. Fair use rationale for Image:Loren L Coleman.jpg[edit]

Image:Loren L Coleman.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

InMediaRes[edit]

I think that about half of this article is about InMediaRes - most of that content should be moved/merged there. This article is about L.L. Coleman, not his company. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 19:57, 21 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. --Scaletail (talk) 14:14, 24 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
