Judith Grimes[edit]

I'm not familiar with the comics, but I believe in the television series Lori died after giving birth to Judith in the prison. This storyline was covered in S3 E4 Killer Within. This would seem to imply that Lori is indeed Judith's mother so I'm not sure why that information is being removed from the infobox as original research per this edit . I can understand questions about who Judith's father really is, but I've never seen any questions raised about who her mother is. This Huff post article touches on Lori giving birth in the prison and then dying. We now know that the baby (i.e., Lori's baby) survived and was later named Judith. So, I'm not sure what else needs to be provided to show this is not original research. - Marchjuly (talk) 02:23, 3 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I believe I've found the issues in the comic where Lori gives birth and where she names the baby Judith. Unfortunately, they are Spanish language versions of the comic that somebody posted online. I don't understand Spanish and they were posted to a blog which might mean they are copyvios so I won't link them here. Anyway, here are the two issues and the relevant text:
  1. Lori giving birth is shown on pages 23-24 of issue #39. The Spanish text reads "Oh Lori, Tu Bebe ... Es... Una Nina!".
  2. Lori naming the baby Judith is shown on page 7 of issue #40 The Spanish text reads "Creo Que Deberiamos Llamarla Judith."
Unless the issue numbers are different for the English versions of the comic, I think this might be acceptable to source Judith's birth and her naming for the comic. - Marchjuly (talk) 07:14, 3 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Found a page, "/24.html", on the website popsequetionalism.com"popsequentialism.com" which shows an English version of the splash page for page 22 of issue #39. The page is titled "Birth of Baby Judith". Again, not sure if that works or not.- Marchjuly (talk) 07:22, 3 March 2015 (UTC) - edited 21:44, 3 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I've undid the edit because it's seems absurd that someone could view that as "original research". They need to explain their reasoning, because it doesn't make any sense. Lori is the mother. She gave birth to Judith. What else do you want? Did this person explain why they think it's original research, because it's seems baffling to me. If you're going to source it, just name the issue (which is #39) or TV episode ("Killer Within" for birth and "When the Dead Come Knocking" for naming), not some random website (and "popsequetionalism.com" doesn't even seem to exist). The same editor made an identical edit to Shane's article. At the risk of making assumptions about others' intentions, it appears the editor is questioning Judith's paternity, but accidentally changed Lori's article instead of Rick's. Hoof Hearted (talk) 21:30, 3 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Drovethrughosts. The webpage is "popsequentialism.com/24.html". Sorry about the confusion caused by my mispelling of the lnk. I knew Judith was Lori's daughter from watching the TV series, but I don't read the comic so I wasn't sure if there was a difference. An {{issue}} template had been previously added for the comic book section, so I didn't think it was acceptable to cite the TV series for that. It wasn't a question of "What I want". I saw the "issue" template and was just trying to clean it up. Anyway, thanks again. -Marchjuly (talk) 21:44, 3 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Hoof Hearted. I saw the other edited and thought that's probably what happened. Didn't mean to make a mountain out of a mole hill. Just thought clearing it up once and for all might be a good idea since somebody had previously added an {{issue}} template to the same info in the Lori Grimes#Comic book series section. - Marchjuly (talk) 21:45, 3 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
