Birthplace

Hi there, I noticed that it said Lorne Michaels was born in Israel on a Kibbitz. This is in fact incorrect. He was born in Toronto. I have changed in the "Early Life" and Bio box sections of the article and cited the New York Times as a source. --RivBitz (talk) 23:34, 25 April 2013 (UTC)

A number of sources say Lorne Michaels was born on a kibbutz in Israel (Vanity Fair (2016), The Guardian (2014), Biography.com (2016), NY Daily News (2013)). The article currently says he was born in Toronto citing this NYT article (2008), which only gives a passing mention of his birthplace and also gives a different year for his DOB than the majority of other sources, so it doesn't seem like the best source for his birth information.
