Seems to be something wrong[edit]

My english is not really good so I prefer to don't change anything but I think there is something wrong with these lines: "The installations were later dismantled, the spider sculpture ("Maman") was relocated to Ottawa where it stood outside the entrance to the National Gallery of Canada but has now been moved to the Louvre in paris. no, still in Ottawa"

I haven't ever seen myself "Maman" at the Louvre, and it's the first time I heard it's there.

Something Wrong, Again[edit]

It's seems to be another error: "Her earliest exhibition, in 1947, consisted of tunnel sculptures and wooden figures, including The Winged Figure (1948)."

First, I think she must had a lot of problem to present in 1947 a piece of art she made on year after. second, according to the documentation1 of the Centre Pompidou (Paris) about the actual exposition (who was before at the Tate Museum): "Lors de sa première exposition personnelle en 1945 à New York elle présente douze peintures." Who can be approximatively translated: "At her first personal exposition in 1945 in new-York, she presents twelve paintings"

So the date seems to be 1945, not 1947.

Hope I haven't mistaken and that my approximative english could be read and understanded...

The article states that she was a French-born American artist. Huh? Sorry but she never discarded her French nationality. Therefore she wasn't a French-born American artist but a Franco-American artist. She took American Nationality when she was 46. Bourgeois, what's the deal?[edit]

Incidentally, "Maman" is just exhibited in my hometown and I came to think for the first time in 30 years: Is that line from "Art Wars" by "The Knack" referring to Louise Bourgeois and not some *literal* bourgeois? <needs citation, badly> Could be filed under "Influences". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.100.205.105 (talk) 18:24, 5 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Suggest removal of 'founder of confessional art' line, source is ignorant and grumpy[edit]

characters' feet and animals' paws[edit]

I do not understand what this statement is supposed to mean: "The lower part of the tapestries were always damaged which was usually a result of the characters' feet and animals' paws."
