Clubbing[edit]

In her biography "Louise: My Story" (published in 1997), she states that at the age of 14, her and her friends went clubbing, in the likes of SW1 and The Milk Bar, but her and her friends were nervous about getting past the doormen and that they pushed one of their "older-looking" and "gorgeous" friends to the front in order to be let in. Birth name[edit]

Louise Elizabeth Nurding wasn't her birth name, it was Louise Nicola Wooder according to the General Register Office births index. Should her page be changed to reflect that or not? I don't want to tread on toes if it's a sensitive topic. Analog Kid (talk) 20:46, 16 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If this is right, it would be useful if you could elaborate a bit on the reasons why she apparently has a different name on her birth certificate, and also find another reliable source that supports it. TheRetroGuy (talk) 22:22, 16 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Well it was a bit of genealogical deduction. I noticed that there was no record for the birth of a Louise Elizabeth Nurding anywhere in England since records began. I even tried without her middle name to no avail. Registration was of course long since mandatory by this time, which set me wondering. Several bios mention her parents, Tim and Lynne Nurding. A search back through the records reveals that they didn't actually marry though until October '86 when Louise was 11. Lynne's maiden name was Wooder, so I hypothesized that perhaps Louise was born with this surname instead (indeed a Google search for "Louise Nurding"+"Wooder" reveals someone talking on Facebook about knowing her at school as Louise Wooder). Checking the birth records again, there was only one match for that name in 1974: a Louise Nicola Wooder born in the final quarter of the year in Lewisham. Bingo! Unfortunately there is no other website which mentions the Wooder name in connection with her, I've used all kinds of search terms on Google but come up empty. I can only assume that either no-one has thought to check these details before now, or if they have they've been told not to release that info. I have no way of knowing either way. It's only because I'm a fan of the TV show, Who Do You Think You Are and occasionally work on celebrity trees myself for the challenge that I came across this. Her surname[edit]

I've just reverted changes that were made to her surname as there seems to be no reliable sources to indicate she's now known by her maiden name again. The Daily Mail refers to her as Louise Nurding in a couple of articles, but most reliable sources are still using her married name. Back in the day she was known by the mononym Louise, and perhaps that may be the case again now. Any thoughts? This is Paul (talk) 23:06, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Louise Redknapp[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Louise Redknapp's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
