Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because while this filmmaker may be lesser-known, she is also well-respected. Her work has won awards and it is notable, especially within queer cinema. There may not be substantial academic work about her, but that's all the more reason that she should be allowed a bit of attention. If no one knows about her, she will continue to be ignored despite the merits of her work. --Frances Maurer (talk) 03:21, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
