Photo[edit]

It is preferable when we post photographs, that the individual himself is highlighted without sharing the space with another individual, whereas here we have a photo that compromises our emphasis on the person. I am sure there are photos of Loukas Giorkas taken alone we can use instead of what we have now werldwayd (talk) 09:18, 5 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong Informations[edit]

Hello guys, I want to help this article and provide the correct information for Loukas Yorkas. Can I make any edit I want? Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Theodorosyiorkas (talkcontribs) 13:06, 23 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

No. Because you have a conflict of interest (a relative) you are required to propose your changes here at Talk, as in change X to Y. Other editors will decide whether to make the changes to the article. References are required. You have attempted to delete valid references and the reference section. Without references, the article will be nominated for deletion. David notMD (talk) 15:23, 23 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Theodorosyiorkas: The edits you suggest must be backed up with links to reliable sources. Those are sources with established reputations for fact-checking and editorial oversight, like respected news organizations, magazines and book publishers. Blogs, social media and other self-published sources written by Loukas himself, or his representatives, will not be accepted. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 15:29, 23 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Theodorosyiorkas: Can you stop changing the photo? You uploaded it as if you owned the rights to it, but I guarantee that is not the case. If he is really your brother, just take a photo of him yourself. It can't be a professional photo where someone else owns the rights to it. Grk1011 (talk) 17:57, 24 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You may not make edits and then ask for 'approval' afterward. This goes against WP:COIEDIT. You must only propose it and then wait for someone to review and perform it if they deem it acceptable.
Regardless, your edit has been reverted because it makes no meaningful change other than throw in a bunch of blank datafields, adds some unsourced content, and inserts again the same prohibited social media links which other editors have repeatedly told you are not appropriate for Wikipedia. May I remind you again that Wikipedia is not your or Yorkas's personal advertising space and the content that is placed here is not under your or Yorkas's exclusive control. I strongly encourage you to read WP:COI and WP:5P before proceeding further. Epistulae ad Familiares (talk) 15:23, 18 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Epistulae ad Familiares. Remove social media links. Its not mine for sure but the information i provide to the article is correct but there arent any link to show them. How can we make the changes then? Can you help me please? Theodorosyiorkas (talk) 08:12, 22 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you cannot find a verifiable source for it, then you cannot add it in — that is the simple rule. Simply you claim it to be true is not sufficient evidence. Wikipedia is about verifiability, not truth. Epistulae ad Familiares (talk) 13:21, 22 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

My friend, my changes are about minor edits. It's not something new about the article. If I want to add something new i will give you a verifiable source for it.Theodorosyiorkas (talk) 10:58, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Changes to the article[edit]

The real name of this article is Loukas Giorkas but he knows as Loukas Yorkas. Can you change it? Dzek (talk) 00:26, 17 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Theodorosyiorkas I'm confused, as this article is already under "Yorkas". However, page moves may be requested at Requested Moves. You will need reliable sources to support your position, and also review WP:COMMONNAME. Please see your user talk page for important information. 331dot (talk) 09:04, 17 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Wait a min. His fans know him as Loukas Yorkas. His real name is Loukas Giorkas so i think its okay to be like this. Dzek (talk) 09:10, 17 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Clarification!![edit]

Hello everyone. I want someone from people who write my name in the opening of "Talk" tab to explain me how I promote or get paid from Loukas Yorkas to create him the best wikipedia page. Please show me anything i did to promote his page or him. I will wait! Dzek (talk) 09:21, 17 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia does not have "pages", it has articles. 331dot (talk) 09:26, 17 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Theodorosyiorkas: You can't get paid or have a promotional article, but if you'd like to see this article about Yorkas expanded and improved, it would be great if you could find some news articles and post the links here below. Specifically Greek-language articles are harder for editors to find. These would need to be from reliable news outlets, the big papers, not blogs or opinion pieces.
