Article name: without commas or with them?[edit]

So far, the sources are in wide disagreement on how the episode will be titled, and that includes Fox's own websites.

Fox's main Glee website, fox.com/glee, on their /glee/recaps page (http://www.fox.com/glee/recaps/season-5/episode-1/), show it as "Love Love Love", which is what we have here. This is also echoed in the captions on the main Fox publicity website's season 5 episodic photo page: http://www.foxflash.com/div.php/main/page?aID=1z2z2z268z11z6.

The Fox press release for this episode uses the commas ("Love, Love, Love"). It can be seen here on The Futon Critic website: http://www.thefutoncritic.com/listings/20130909fox10/. Alternatively, the same thing can be found on Thursday in this full-week's schedule on the Fox publicity website: http://www.foxflash.com/div.php/main/page?aID=1z4&mo=9&d=26

My view is that we shouldn't change the name at the present time: leave it as it is, without commas. Experience over a few seasons has shown that the episodic photos are right more often than the schedule, when it comes to exact title orthography, including punctuation. (FoxFast was also better, but they require accounts and passwords now.) The press release, where the commas are used, is otherwise loaded with errors (an unfortunately common occurrence): it omits Jane Lynch in the "Cast" (i.e., main cast or "Starring" section of the credits), and it shows Mike O'Malley, who's starring on another show this fall, as starring on Glee as well, which is dubious. (It also shows Amber Riley as starring, when she is supposed to be recurring this season; they made similar errors with Jayma Mays on a number of episode press releases in the fourth season.)

If another authoritative source comes out with commas, it would probably make sense to revisit. Note that I've seen both versions in the Hollywood press articles (the ones normally considered reliable sources), so they can't really be used as tie-breakers. I'd be interested to hear what other people think. BlueMoonset (talk) 01:30, 13 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • The /glee/recaps page has been changed from "Love Love Love" to "Love, Love, Love". Further, the episode title on Hulu uses "Love, Love, Love", as does Amazon, which has it for sale. At the moment, the only Fox holdout I can find is the episodic photos page; the various episode reviews out there aren't consistent, but then I imagine it depends on which piece of Fox publicity the reviewer was using for reference. The Glee account on YouTube clearly has a typoed episode name: "Love, Love Love" (one comma, not two or zero, which we can be sure is wrong).
Because of this definitive shift, I'll be moving the article to the "Love, Love, Love (Glee)" name, assuming the software lets me. I wanted to explain my reasoning before I did so. Thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 23:50, 29 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
