According to the RIAA database, a version of Love Devotion Surrender by the the Mahavishnu Orchestra was certified gold in 1991, but I can't find this version mentioned anywhere, if it is indeed a different one. Hekerui (talk) 18:23, 25 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No, it went gold long before that! Speaking for Gibson Guitars, Ted Drozdowski stated in 2013, "The album sold a stunning half-million copies following its July release ... " The sales of the album have been mentioned many times in magazines such as gIG and Guitar Player back in the mid-Seventies.
