Can anyone provide some backstory about our prominent historical names such as Syd Duncan, Darren Smith, the Freeman family, the Tarlington family. RedDogInCan (talk) 01:58, 30 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Armitage[edit]

Mr Armitage was a early settler in the area in the 1860's.

Tarlington[edit]

Mr Thomas (Tommy). Joseph Tarlington owned a 640 acre property on the Beechmont plateau in 1930s previously owned by Mr Armitage "Beautiful Beech Mountain". The Beaudesert Times. Queensland, Australia. 16 August 1929. p. 1. Retrieved 1 April 2020 – via Trove.

Tarlington Pinches was the name given to the section of Beechmont Road near Elimbah Court. The road continues to be narrow and dangerous to this day.

Bellis[edit]
