Change of Name[edit]

I think that the spelling Lowey is used much more often in gazateers etc. I admit that the transcibed Domesday Book [1] shows the -ry spelling, but a Google on the -ey spelling confirms that many more show that Peter Shearan (talk) 06:54, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I also think that some of the statements may be incorrect. William, I believe, often gave his followers more than one piece of land at once, to keep them busy looking after them and not getting stroppy with him! - and one of the references says that he received parcels in about five different counties. The Richard Fitz Gilbert article says he had 176 parcels of land Peter Shearan (talk) 07:23, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
