For a second opinion

Name[edit]

It is very unlikely that Luis Pérez das Mariñas is the correct spelling of his name (as opposed to Luis Pérez Dasmariñas, which redirects here). The external link spells his surname without the space, and a Google search turns up about eight times as many hits that way than with the space. (And those with the space are mostly Wikipedia mirrors.) Also, there is a municipality in the Philippines named for him, and spelled without the space. Dos Mariñas would be more believable, but das is not a Spanish word, nor (as far as I know) a particle used in Spanish names. Rbraunwa 23:00, 8 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Failed Good Article[edit]

This article has failed Wikipedia:Good Articles because the article lacks sufficient sources, lacks of sufficient internal links, lacks true WP:MOS, and lacks pictures. If these problems can be addressed, feel free to nominate the article again, however for now, the article has been rejected. Pembroke 03:35, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
