Isn't Scola an Italian surname? Shouldn't he be listed as an Argentine of Italian descent? Just because he played in Spain and was granted Spanish citizenship doesn't make him of Spanish descent. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.194.219.250 (talk) 20:35, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. When it comes to a person's ethnicity you ALWAYS have to have references to back that up. Playing in the spanish league Liga ACB does Not make them Spanish descent nor a Spanish basketball players. When he played abroad the Spanish sports commentators always refer to him as Argentine even if he got dual citizenship the same with Tiago Splitter (a brazilian of german descent with Spanish dual citizenship). A lot of athletes get dual citizenship African-American player David Logan got dual citizenship to play for Poland during the Eurobasket 2009 it does not make him a Polish descendant but it did make him a "Polish basketball player" because he played for the NATIONAL team. I hope people get the point everything with no references will be erased!

Personal Life[edit]

When I met Mr Scola yesterday, he mentioned that his wife and son live in Toronto with him. It would be nice if that and more personal detail were in the story. BTW, a gracious and nice man. Bellagio99 (talk) 14:40, 6 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
