Infobox and Photo[edit]

I just added a photo, an infobox and the section "filmography". It was the best photo I could find. What do you think?Xaserman 23:44, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please some corrections here?[edit]

Come on, the "personal life" section seems to be written by a three years old without any education. Someone should correct it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.253.142.167 (talk) 06:50, 22 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

LUISANA LORELEY LOPILATO DE LA TORRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO!!! YOUR NAME IS LUISANA LORELEY LOPILATO!!!!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.64.165.148 (talk) 14:08, 12 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Name[edit]

There has been a long term, slow motion edit war regarding the subject's name. I have added the full name to the lead with a reference in accordance with the WP:MOSBIO section on names. I believe that before adding "birth name" to the infobox an equally reliable source needs to be cited. If there are reasons the subject's full name should not be included, please discuss here before reverting. Regards Tiderolls 06:41, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

YOUR NAME IN THE TELEVISION LANDSCAPE AND ARTISTIC IS LUISANA LOPILATO, NO LUISANA LORELEY LOPILATO DE LA TORRE!!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Raulgarrido (talkcontribs) 14:19, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Raul. What you say is true, which is why the article title does not contain the subject's full name. Did you read the links I provided? In the Wikipedia manual of style for biographies (click here) you will find a section on names (click here). Per these guidelines the subject's full name should be mentioned. I would suggest that you revert your edits until you familiarize yourself with these guidelines. To revert as you have done before discussing the issue could be looked upon as edit warring. I will be reporting editors that revert the sourced content without discussing the issue. Regards Tiderolls 15:02, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I understand the basics of your message; that the subject doesn't want the full name used. That may the case, and it may be that she could be accommodated with regard to this matter. However, she would have to identify herself to the Wikimedia Foundation via the OTRS and make her wishes known. No third party requests for such deletion will be entertained, as far as I understand, without justification under Wikipedia policies. Please stop reverting sourced, guideline based content without a proper understanding of the policies and guidelines that guide the operation of this project. Also, while posting in a language other than English is not forbidden it is less than helpful. Regards Tiderolls 14:35, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Traductor: Sorry, but the name can not be so, and talked to their managers in Spain and Argentina, and I confirm that the information should be with its official name as an actress, as is known from childhood in Argentina, because a change of name at this stage is detrimental to your career, if you damage it then proceed to change them, if not so let it ... because I said they will be constantly changing and if followed will take action on the matter, Greetings — Preceding unsigned comment added by Raulgarrido (talkcontribs) 12:57, 8 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No need to apologize, simply stop editing contrary to Wikipedia's guidelines. You may want to explore the possibility of contacting an editor that can translate the guidelines. I can help you locate a Spanish translator if need be. Tiderolls 17:10, 8 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Here's an example of Luisana Loreley Lopilato is the correct name in wikipedia.

Name again[edit]

For reference: WP:MOSBIO, particularly the section covering names. I have restored the cited name per the guideline. If there are independent, reliable sources contradicting the content, please provide them so discussion may take place. Tiderolls 01:45, 3 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

• As an Argentine I fully understand the problem here. Traditionally the common practice in Argentina is to register only the paternal surname in the birth records (or only the maternal if there is no recognised father), so the common usage is to refer to people by a single surname. Lopilato's actual name used by the artistic landscape worldwide is Luisana Lopilato, and her legal full name is Luisana Loreley Lopilato. The problem is that American media fall mistakenly into the use of two-surname personal appellation which is practiced in most spanish-speaking countries (of course excluding Argentina).

In Surname and Hispanic American naming customs, here Wikipedia The Free Encyclopedia states Argentina has been an exception on the use of two surnames, since traditionally only the father’s has been used. Sourced as per «Constitución de la Nación Argentina», Buenos Aires, Ley 18.248. Nombre de las personas (Name of People). Art.4. --Fercho85 (talk) 13:05, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Fercho. Thanks for your quick response. I will have to take you at your word on this subject. It presents me with no problem as I am not overly invested in my position. I was attempting to keep the article within Wikipedia's Manual of Style guidelines and have no particular opinion on the subject's name. Thanks againf for your attention to this matter. File:Luisana presents her cookbook.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion[edit]

An image used in this article, File:Luisana presents her cookbook.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

To take part in any discussion, or to review a more detailed deletion rationale please visit the relevant image page (File:Luisana presents her cookbook.jpg)
