ESR at Fuerzas Commando 2012[edit]

I found evidence that the ESR has been bought and is being used by Colombian Special Forces here at post #18.

This is the photo. Can someone please include this information as an update to the page?

The chasis stock does look like the stock used on the XM2010. The barrel to suppressor distance appears shorter when compared to the XM2010 images so I am in doubt.--Francis Flinch (talk) 11:25, 2 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
That's the iffy part. It might be an M-24 SWS, BUT... the thing is that standard M-24s are not suppressor capable out of the box and are also not that short. Those two strikes against the M-24 would push me closer to the XM2010 with a new barrel. The other thing is that, because I can't see the receiver. It might be a Remington MSR. Which would explain the short barrel with suppressor capability. Looking at the rest of the gun now, it does look like it. I had forgotten there was even an MSR. I might go post over there to get a confirm. Brody Kennen (talk) 17:53, 3 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Is that still built on a Remington 700 Action[edit]

Is good to know, essential info for the article.24.227.157.82 (talk) 16:20, 12 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

From the article: This chambering to dimensionally larger cartridges is possible because the M24 Sniper Weapon System was designed to use the "long-action" version of the Remington 700 receiver.--Francis Flinch (talk) 19:58, 12 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Weird sentence, not sure how to fix though[edit]

"The XM2010 addressed the problem with a .300 Winchester Magnum round that can hit targets out to 1,200 m (1,312 yd) with 1 MOA accuracy, half again as far as the M24's 80 m (87 yd)."

That appears to make no sense, obviously 1312 yards isn't 'half again as far' compared to 87 yards. What were they really trying to say here? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.9.80.227 (talk) 21:39, 31 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
