Needs rescoping[edit]

This article talks about the M4-M5 link as a separate item, but it is not. Instead it was merely retitled from another article about the New M5 which is not the same entity. M8 continues north much further, under the harbour, and includes the Northern Beaches Link.

Even if the original extent on opening day will be only the New M5, the article cannot continue to imply what it does. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Whophd (talkcontribs) 02:36, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It is not confirmed if M4-M5 Link will be M8 even if it is likely to be. When the time comes (2024), this article will be rewritten to include M4-M5. For now, M8 is the same as new M5 as per officially announcements and statements. Marcnut1996 (talk) 03:54, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Per government documents, it is confirmed around 6 months ago. I will include screenshots of proposed signage and legislation. Whophd (talk) 02:56, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please explain the coloured strip lights...[edit]

... along the walls.

There appears to be no pattern or purpose in their placement, though some do advise the name of the suburb overhead. Which is... helpful... I guess.

'Fifty million tons of Bexley up there. Drive careful, now. Don't want to bring Bexley down around our ears.'

What purpose do those coloured strips serve, tho'? Urban art? Barcodes? Mood lighting? Soothing murals for fraught motorists? What? My tolls pay for them. Just sayin' 2001:44B8:3102:BB00:A86D:C224:E9BA:4718 (talk) 00:01, 22 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
