Never won a single race[edit]

Although it seems obvious that a maiden race is for horse who haven't won a race, there are some exemptions. In most countries flat and jumps races are considered separate formats so that jumps winners are eligible for flat maidens and flat winners can enter jumping maidens. Also in many countries the non-winning precondition is applied at the time of nomination or acceptances so that a horse conceivably could win between acceptances and then race in a maiden. Rare but not impossible. Tigerman2005 (talk) 06:03, 1 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment[edit]

Have removed the stub tag and categorised this B since there seems to be very little else that can be said about maiden races, other than obscure technicalities of the definition in different territories Peaky76 (talk) 23:43, 12 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
