Help!

For someone of Mairéad stature in Irish music circles this wee article is a tragedy; will someone help build it up into something more deserving of her? Don't leave it to me or I'll jut go on about what a fine thing she is, and the music will get a ver distant second place! Fergananim 14:14, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

I've done a bit of fixing and intend to do more, but I had to get Frankie Kennedy, who didn't have an article at all, off the ground first! Anyhow I intend to add a bit more information from Blooming Meadows in the next week or two, and I'd like to restructure the article to conform with Wikipedia:Manual of Style (biographies). Also, I want to merge the Altan history from this article, Frankie Kennedy, and Altan into Altan and use the {{main|}} template to reference it. Feel free to contribute yourself, too! --Craig Stuntz 19:07, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

Personal section

There is nothing to add to the personal section so I have removed it. Private matters which Mairéad has not publicly talked about or published should not be added here and cannot be validly cited. While this is an online encyclopedia, when dealing with living people, respect and goodwill should also be shown.--Theosony (talk) 09:49, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

Mairéad has spoken publicly about her break-up with Dermot Byrne and I added the reference to the article. I have shown respect and goodwill, all i added was simply that they married, had child and divorced. How is that not showing respect? It's common practice on this site to add a personal life section.--MaxPride (talk) 16:17, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
