Categories[edit]

Mala Sinha has acted in Hindi, Bengali and Nepali films. So her name must appear in categories of film actors from Begali Cinema, Nepali Cinema and Hindi Cinema.Joshejawani (talk) 03:20, 27 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The user keeps turning the lead into a list of films. His assertion is that these are "landmark films" and it is total POV and as WP is not a list, it was removed. User Shahid seems to own wiki pages. Many of the present bollywood stars, even those who have had small careers have big intro in their wiki pages and their films get repeated in wiki page. But i find no reason to have removed the names of the films for which Mala is known for. I have repeatedly told her mother tongue is Nepali and not Bengali. But she has acted in Hindi Cinema, Bengali Cinema and Nepali Cinema. So she should be part of all three categories.Joshejawani (talk) 18:11, 27 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No one owns the page, but everyone must adhere to policy. Lists of selected "notable" films are a classic example of POV. The category in question is intended for actors of Bengali descent, not actors who have worked in Bengali films. Addtionally i would like to ask you to familiarise yourself with WP:RS and, also, when you're writing something, do use spaces between separate sentences.
