I seriously think this should be named Malaysian Anti-Corruption Agency. --Zack2007 11:26, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If we named it as such then it would not be the MACC, It would be MACA and that would mean something totally different in the Malaysian context. --Malbear (talk) 02:23, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

copy paste[edit]

The majority of this article appears to be copy/paste, and not neutral. Suggest review and possible referral for violating copy rules.--RichardMills65 (talk) 05:20, 5 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Explanation[edit]

The article source of this wiki page was taken directly from the website of the MACC, http://www.sprm.gov.my/,all of the articles, every single one, in which they are approved and granted permission. The error report received from Wikipedia's duplication detector report, in which it claimed that the articles were copied from this particular website, http://www.developmentgateway.com.au/cms/sectors/governance/page6430.html, are false and incorrect, this is because the MACC website is the true and most resourceful source of the articles and the act of copy pasting those articles are permitted by the administrators of the MACC website.

I, Kery_sprm, has been granted permission and approval by the MACC, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, to re-write, and edit the MACC Wikipage accordingly and truthfully as I am an employee of MACC, full name Ahmad Zhafir bin Zulkifili, stationed in the Corporate Communication Unit. The previous MACC Wiki page was created and written few years ago by a former employeee or by an anonymous, which some parts of the page are not true, and now I am trying to correct that mistake as an employee of MACC by taking the responsibility of renewing the Wikipage. All of the articles, facts and pictures that I inserted into the Wikipage while editing it, are from the MACC website,http://www.sprm.gov.my/, the sole and only source of which I copy pasted the articles, facts and pictures, which I was permitted by the organization. The Duplication Error Report, which stated that I copy pasted from this particular website,http://www.developmentgateway.com.au/cms/sectors/governance/page6430.html, is completely false and untrue, as this particular website has no sort of affiliations with the MACC at all, none, and I hope that the administrators of Wikipedia will understand the difficulties that I am having.

Therefore I would like to clarify that the all of the articles in the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Wikipedia page are not plagiarism or, copyright infringement, as it was copied directly from the sole source, which is from the MACC website,http://www.sprm.gov.my/, and the act of copying those articles are permitted by the website's administrators.

I hope that the administrators of Wikipedia understands and that this matter is resolved as soon as possible.

I'd like to suggest, given the explanation above, that the article be reverted to this version (prior to the edits by Kery sprm. Clearly, this is a new editor that was under a mistaken impression that they could copy/paste information into the article. I will leave a message on the editor's talk page addressing the issues and offering guidance. I don't want to see the entire article removed simply because of the recent edits. I hope this is acceptable. Wikipelli Talk 13:25, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I Understand[edit]

I understand that this problem have many complications, and I sincerely appreciate your help, thank you by the way, and I agree with your suggestion that the article be in its original point before the edit. In its original state, before the edits, if it is acceptable, that I will be given the permission to edit it of course, the only editing that I will do is I will only ADD information to the article, WITHOUT ALTERING any of the original article on the page, at all, just merely ADDING more and new information, in advance, the informations that I will add to the article will be directly from the organization's website, the sole and only source. I hope that this is clarified and does not create any confusion.

I really appreciate you help and hope that this matter can be resolved as soon as possible. Thank You. Kery sprm (talk) 11:00, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

License[edit]

I am intending to license my previous work, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, and have already applied for the license from both Creative Commons License and GNU Free Documentation License. I am doing this under the advise of Wikipedia and my supervisor because I honestly believe that I have not done anything wrong, despite the reports claiming that I have committed copyright infringement. I have constantly defended myself that I DID NOT copy-paste from this website, http://www.developmentgateway.com.au/cms/sectors/governance/page6430.html, because this particular website has NO sort of affiliations whatsoever to the organization, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), which I am an employee. I did however copy-pasted from the organization's website, ,http://www.sprm.gov.my, which I am permitted to. In conclusion, I have decided to license the Wikipage of the MACC organization, in accordance to the terms of Creative Commons License and GNU Free Documentation License, allowing permission for others to share, edit and distribute this document.

Delete it[edit]

It seems as if my pleas, explanations, suggestions, as well as Wikipelli's suggestion has fallen on deaf ears, all of those explanations was a rather waste of time, I am upset of course, because I was hoping that this issue could be resolved, as my job depends on it, but then again the Wikipedia's administrators or the person responsible for this is busy, handling other problems as well, might be even worse than mine, or the same. I understand, and I dont want to cause any trouble, so I just want this article to be deleted. I'll make a new, non-copy-paste article after this article is deleted. Delete it please. As soon as possible.

Excessive logo info[edit]

Re:

The logo is composed of the following elements and colors:
1.1 Star (14 Corners) The star reflects the excellence of 13 corrupt-free states ...

Who cares.

Let us delete it.
