Wrong Editing[edit]

The page should refer to Malik Awan tribe as it was referring previously, I have also linked this Page to some other Articles as Malik Awans. A New Page/Article could be created with the name Ahl e Sadat which itself means "People of Sadat", covering it entire Origin. Muhammadahmad79 (talk) 10:09, 26 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Awans are not Ahle Saadat[edit]

Let me make it clear for everyone that there are two types of people who call themselves as Maliks. Basically, it was a honorary title, so it was adopted by some people.
In Potowar region of Punjab, there are people who call themselves "Malik Awan" just because of their superiority over other "Awan" tribes (Note that this "Superiority" is not very well documented rather different stories have travelled through centuries but their Origin as Awan Tribe is very well documented). thus, they have almost the similar origin and history as of Awan Tribes but they differ only at the present circumstances and their position in the society throughout history.
On the other hand, there is another group in Lahore and its surroundings that call themselves "Malik", whic is competitively very small group. It is believed that they are not "Awans" and their origin is unknown but according to some they were one of the first human beings. So, they might be "Ahl e Saadat". I don't know, from where this name came from but it means "People of Saadat" and their can be a separate article created with this name(Ahl e Saadat) to represent the comparatively very small group of people. - Muhammadahmad79 (talk) 05:06, 16 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
