I think it was on the basis that she has been President of the NUS - it seems the convention that Presidents since 1968 have an article, see List of Presidents of the National Union of Students (United Kingdom). Though I'm not sure of the basis of this convention - I thought somewhere we had a policy that chief staff of notable organisations/companies (eg NUS) were notable, but I cannot track that down in a policy.
